How to Activate Windows Genuine Advantage

Windows Genuine Advantage validates your copy of the operating system, which proves that you've legally purchased your copy and lets you use all of the features present in the operating system. You can activate the Windows Genuine Advantage in a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Double-click the "Windows Genuine Advantage" notification icon to bring up the "Windows Genuine Advantage" window on screen.

2. Click "Resolve Now."

3. Type your Windows product key into the activation prompt on screen. This product key was printed on a certificate of authenticity that came either with your computer or with your copy of the Windows operating system installation disc.

4. Click "Activate." This will activate your copy of Windows, ensuring that you never see the "Windows Genuine Advantage" notifications again.
