How to Download From an FTP Website
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol and can be used to download software, music, or any other digital files to your computer. FTP refers to software applications as well as Internet programs that use this to perform file transfers. Register on an FTP website. You will have to create a username and password to be able to use the services of the website that you choose unless you pick one that is anonymous. You will also have to download the FTP software to your computer. Click on download and follow the online prompts to download to your computer.

Open the software that is now downloaded on your computer and click on connect. Once the connection is established, you will see a window, typically on the right-hand side, that has all the folders that you can download from. The window on the left is the window that you can download to.

Click on the folders to the right until you find the information or file that you would like to download. Click or select that file. Click on the file on the left side that you want the download to go to.

Click and drag the file from the right to the left. Once it has been dragged over, it will automatically begin the download. Your file will be in the folder that you specified.
