How to Copy an MS Access 2003 Database

Access databases let you manage large amounts of information. This information is stored as input in tables. Information can be added to the tables with user-friendly forms. Extract data out of the database using the queries and reports. You can copy your Access database using the copy-and-paste features in your My Computer window. The copied database can reside on your computer or a new location.

      Stop working in your MS Access 2003 database. Save and close the current object you are working on. Select "File" and "Exit. The database closes.

      Locate "My Computer" on your desktop. Double-click "My Computer" to see the files contained on your computer. Open the folder containing your database.

      Right-click the database file and select "Copy." Open a new location in "My Computer." Select "Paste." The database has been copied from its original location and pasted to a new location.
