How to Make a Safety Statement
A safety statement is a mandatory piece of legislation brought in by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) of 1970. This document outlines the precautions taken by an employer to safeguard the welfare of his employees. In a safety statement, the employer must state how he intends to guarantee the safety of his workforce, tailoring the statement specifically to his company. To ensure that employers are able to understand how a safety statement should be produced, a list of guidelines are available.
