How to Restore a Previous System Configuration

Restore your operating system's previous configurations by using System Restore.

Windows allows you to fix driver and settings issues with the System Restore utility. System Restore allows users to restore their operating system's configuration settings back to a previous time. Close other applications and save anything you were working on before using the System Restore utility.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" menu.

2. Type "System Restore" inside the search field.

3. Click the "System Restore" icon.

4. Click "Next" to proceed.

5. Click "Show Restore Points Older than 5 Days" to show more restore points.

6. Select a restore point and click "Next."

7. Click "Finish" to confirm your restore point.
