How to Clean a Wrist Brace

Mel Frank

Wrist braces are helpful when playing sports or when you need extra wrist support during your daily activities. Just like any other fabric item that you wear, you have to clean the wrist brace to keep it from looking dingy and soiled. Regular cleaning also removes bacteria and keeps the brace hygienic.

Wash your wrist brace regularly to remove dirt and bacteria.

Tip

If your wrist brace is labeled machine washable, you can wash the brace according to the care instructions on the tag of the wrist brace.

This can be done with a mild cleaning routine that incorporates cleaning with disinfecting, and keeps your wrist brace looking brand new.

  1. Combine 2 cups of warm water, 1/2 tsp. of mild laundry detergent and 1 tbsp. of white vinegar in a bowl.

  2. Swish the cleaning solution with clean fingers to mix the ingredients.

  3. Dip the wrist brace into the cleaning solution. Rub the soapy liquid over the wrist brace with a cleaning rag or your fingertips to work the cleaner into and over the entire brace. The detergent removes body oils and similar buildup, while the vinegar naturally kills bacteria.

  4. Rinse the brace with warm water after cleaning, and squeeze out as much excess fluid as possible.

  5. Sit the wrist brace on a flat surface to air dry.
