How to Recycle Empty CD Cases

It is easy to go green and recycle your unwanted CD cases.

Unwanted CD cases can be donated to a local library, turned into craft projects or taken to recycle centers. Recycling turns unwanted waste into a valuable resource. By using specialized sites such as Green Disk, recycling can be as easy as sending your CD cases off in the mail.

Instructions

1. Visit Earth911 to see if you have a recycling cener in your area. Alternatively, you can turn to specialized companies such as Green Disk and the CD Recycling Center of America who will accept your castoff CD cases as well as other computer-related items.

2. Donate the cases to your local library or paper crafter. They may use the cases to replace damaged or broken CD cases already in circulation or they may find another use for them.

3. Visit Freecycle.org and find a group in your area. On this website you can join a network of users who give and receive a variety of items for free. List your CD cases and see if anybody wants to use them.

4. Reuse your unwanted CD cases for craft projects or to store other small objects such as stamps.
