How to Remove the Grips on a Dirt Bike

Remove the grips on a dirt bike usinf compressed air.

Handlebar grips help to relieve vibration and cushion impacts when riding a dirt bike. They are made from rubber materials and are installed on the handlebars of a dirt bike using grip glue. Over time the grips may become worn and must be replaced. Removing the grips from a dirt bike is easy, and takes just a few minutes with the right tools. You can install a new set of grips once the old ones are removed.

• Air compressor

Instructions

1. Pull up on the grip and insert the air compressor nozzle in the opening between the grip and handlebar.

2. Turn the air compressor on and shoot air in the opening to expand the grip away from the handlebar.

3. Slide the grip off the handlebar.
