How to Remove Verizon's 411 in Contacts

Verizon's "411" contact is a directory assistance number that helps you find people or businesses. The company charges you for using "411," which can become expensive if your phone ever accidentally dials the number from your contact list. Removing the "411" contact from your Verizon phone is the same as removing any other contact.

Instructions

1. Select "Contacts" or "Address Book" from the phone's main menu.

2. Scroll down to the contact you want to remove. It will be under "411" or "Directory Assistance."

3. Click "Options" and "Delete" or "Remove Contact." If the phone asks if you are sure, select "Yes." Click "Back" to return to the home screen.
