How to Customize Windows Mobile Today
Windows Mobile phones are smartphones running a Microsoft Windows operating system. The device allows users to access many of the same programs in the same manner that you would on a Windows desktop computer. In addition, you have the ability to change the Today screen on your Window Mobile phone to suit your personality. Customizing the Today screen on your mobile phone allows you to add a different background, change the functions of the soft key buttons and the menu icons.

Customize Background

Tap the "Start" button followed by "Settings."

Select "Basic" or "Personal." Tap the option that corresponds to your Windows phone: "Display and Lights," "Wallpaper" or "Appearance."

Select a background from the list available or select a picture from your photo gallery.

Tap "Yes" to confirm the change, then tap the "Home" key to return to the Today screen.
Customize Soft Keys

Open the "Settings" menu on your Windows Mobile phone.

Tap "All Settings" followed by "Personal," then "Buttons."

Tap the drop-down menu and select the option to "Assign a Program."

Press the key on your phone that you want to assign a command to, then select a program from the list available.

Tap "OK," then follow the prompts to exit the system.
Customize Icons

Tap the "Start" button followed by "Settings."

Tap "Items," then select the applications that you want to be present on your Today screen.
