Place your TV flat on the wall with a flush TV mount.

A flush mount flat-screen TV mount is different from traditional TV mounts. Flush TV mounts sit flush against the wall, like a picture, while the traditional TV mounts are hung from brackets. Installing a flush TV mount requires regular household tools and two small holes in the wall. The task can be completed in half an hour.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the TV mounts to the back of the TV by holding the mounts over the designated indented areas of the TV and inserting a screw through the center of the mount. Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Turn the knobs on the TV mounts to tighten the hanging wire.

    • 2

Measure a 7-inch length horizontally on the wall in the space you want to mount the TV. Mark the beginning and end of the 7-inch measurement with a pencil. Hammer a nail halfway into each pencil mark and pull the nail out of the wall. Insert a wall anchor that comes with the wall mount into each nail hole. Place each wall mount over the wall anchor and tighten a screw through the center hole of each wall mount into the wall anchor.

    • 3

Lift the TV up while tilting it forward as if you are hanging a picture. Lift the TV high enough so the TV mounts are higher than the wall mounts and lower the TV until the hanging wire is supported by the wall mounts.
