These car manufacturers update their GPS maps yearly and make the new data available to car owners for a fee. Updating the GPS disk is a straightforward process.

      Press "Menu" on the GPS display and then press the "Map DVD" button. Compare the map version number that is then displayed on the screen to the version number of the DVD you are about to load. Confirm that the new DVD is a newer version.

      Press the "Load" button and then press the "Map" button. Remove the DVD that is ejected by the GPS unit and set it aside.

      Remove the new DVD from its case and place it in the GPS unit.
