How to Remove the Default Template in Windows 2007
When you install Microsoft Office 2007 on a computer, it comes with templates for the different programs. These templates are created by Microsoft to make it easier to create files such as calendars, spreadsheets and books. If you do not like using these templates, delete them from the Microsoft Office Templates folder.

Open "My Computer" when using Windows XP or "Computer" when working with Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Open the "C" drive.

Open the "Program Files" folder to view the programs installed on the computer.

Select "Microsoft Office" from the list.

Click on "Templates" to view a list of default templates.

Open "1033" to view Office templates. Templates are sorted by name and when you click on a template you'll see the Microsoft Office program to which the template belongs.

Select a template and click "Delete" to delete the template.

Click "Continue" on the following screen that asks if you are sure about deleting the template.
