Founded in 1984, Dell has become one of the world leaders in the computing field. Originally established with a direct-sell policy, the company has adapted to allow others to carry its products.



In 2008, Dell created its PartnerDirect program that allowed retailers to become more involved in Dell's products and gain expert training to become specialists in that field.

Instructions

    • 1

      Fill in a PartnerDirect application form on the Dell website. Once accepted you will be assigned a Dell Channel Development Manager (CDM).

      Meet with your CDM to talk over and agree on a business plan.

    • 3

      Fulfill all sales and technial training requirements for storage and servers. At least two sales and two technical staff must be accredited in Dell's One Solutions Training Course.

      Meet threshold requirements for sales set out by Dell.

Tips & Warnings

  • To retain the Dell certification, you must agree on a business plan each year.
