How to Make Custom Vans
Since its founding in 1966, Vans has been designing and manufacturing comfortable and stylish shoes, originally designed for skateboarding. While skateboarding shoes are still the heart of the company, Vans has expanded its line of shoes to include snowboarding boots and shoes designed for everyday use. In addition to selling pre-designed shoes, Vans also sells custom Vans. These shoes allow you to be the designer and select colors and patterns that fit you and your style. Does this Spark an idea?

Navigate to the Vans website.

Click on the "Shop" tab, located at the top of the webpage.

Click on the "Custom Shoes" tab, located on the left-hand side of the webpage.

Click on the shoe style that appeals to you. Your choices include "Era," "106," "Slip-On" and "Old School" styles, all with a picture of the shoe.

Click on "Male," "Female," "Girls" or "Boys" next to "Gender" to select the size range for the shoes. Click on your shoe size to highlight the size you wear. Click the "Next" button to proceed.

Click on the base shoe that appeals to you. There are several colors and patterns to choose from, such as a base white shoe, a base black shoe, a checkered pattern or a plaid pattern. Once you select your base shoe, you can add additional colors and patterns to the shoe's quarter, side stripe, heel counter, toe cap, eyebrow, tongue, tongue binding, foxing, foxing stripe, laces and collar lining by clicking that tab and clicking any color or pattern under that tab. Once completed, press the "Add to Cart" tab.

Purchase the shoes by clicking the "Check Out" button. The website prompts you to enter your shipping and billing address and credit card information, as well as an email address.
