How to Hide a Phone Number While Texting on Verizon

Send an anonymous text message using a Web interface.

Sending an anonymous text message directly from your mobile device is impossible, since carriers do not allow you to block your phone number when sending text messages. In order to hide your phone number while sending a text message, it must be sent from a Web interface such as Verizon's VTech service. This will allow you to hide your phone number and send an anonymous text message for free.

Instructions

1. Go to the Verizon "VTech" website using the link in the "Resources" section.

2. Type in the phone number of the person receiving the text in the "Send To" field. Type in the text message you wish to send in the "Your Message" field. Leave the "From" and "Callback Number" fields blank.

3. Click "Send."
