How to Convert Cell Phones Into Conference Speaker Phones
Cell phones offer an array of valuable tools and features, and for most that includes the option of conference calling. Conference calling from a cell phone can be convenient, because if you need to talk with multiple employees or coworkers at the same time immediately, or otherwise are not able to be in the same place at once, you can convert your cell phones into conference speaker phones and communicate this way.

1
Send out an agenda. If you are the one setting up the conference call, you need to inform everyone as to what date and time the call will take place--whether immediately or sometime in the future--and instruct all recipients on how to take part in the call. Most service providers require you to dial a special number in order to make a conference call on your cell phone, and this information should be included in the details of the agenda. To send an agenda, you can either email or SMS message all the recipients, with instructions and details in the body of the message.

2
Dial the special number as instructed by your service provider in order to initiate the conference call. If you are the initiator of the conference call, it is best to call a few minutes early to ensure you are first on the call.

3
Wait for others on the list to join the call. As they dial the number from their phone, they should be automatically directed to the conference call. You may need to click "OK" or "Answer" on your phone as others ring through to join the call.

Access the menu on your phone and click on "Activate Speakerphone" to turn the speakerphone feature on. All of the rest of the callers in on the conference call can do this as well and you can all now communicate and talk to each other via your hands-free devices.

Tips & Warnings
It can be difficult to hear everyone on a conference call when using a speakerphone on your cell. If you plan to make conference calls regularly, purchase a cell phone with a high-quality speakerphone to avoid static and audio feedback.
There may be additional fees incurred for conference calling from your cell phone. You may want to inquire about this to your service provider first.
