Remote starters can be added to the keychain of your vehicle.

Remote starters have become popular accessories on cars, offering drivers the ability to pre-start the vehicle for up to 10 minutes at a time with a remote. These systems can be installed by the dealership or an aftermarket retailer. Once the transmitter is installed, you can program your remote from your driver's seat. The programming sequence can be completed in a few short minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter your car on the driver's side, leave the door open so that the dome light stays on and insert your key into the ignition.

    • 2

Turn your key to the "Run" position then press the "Valet" button on your remote.

    • 3

Wait for the locks to click then press and hold the "Valet" button on the remote.

    • 4

Press the starter button on the remote until the locks click again then release both buttons. This will complete the programming sequence, and your remote will be ready to use.
