How to Speed Up the Bubble Screensaver on Vista
When you have Microsoft Windows Vista installed on your computer, you can choose from a series of default screensavers. The bubble screensaver includes a series of bubbles that float on your screen when your computer is idle for a specific amount of time. If you want to change the default settings and speed up the appearance of the bubbles, you can do so by editing the registry.

Click the "Start" button from the Windows Vista desktop and enter "regedit" into the "Search" box.

Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard. The Registry Editor program will open on your screen. Click the "Continue" button.

Click the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" option, then select the "Software" option. Click the "Microsoft" option and click the "Windows" option.

Select the "Current Version" option and then click the "Screensavers" option. Double-click the "Bubbles" key.

Right-click in the right navigation pane and click the "New" option. Select the "DWORD (32-bit) Value" option.

Enter "SphereDensity" into the "DWORD Value Name" field. Press the "Enter" key and right-click on the "DWORD Value Name" field.

Click the "Modify" option, then select the "Decimal" option from the "Base" field. Enter a number between 1000000000 and 2100000000 and into the "Value Data" field. The higher the number you enter, the faster the bubbles will appear.

Click the "OK" button and close out of the Registry Editor window. The bubbles will now appear faster in your screensaver.
