The Best Method for Cleaning Coffee Bean Oil From Coffeemakers
When you grind coffee beans, oils emerge from the resulting coffee bean grounds. These oils add flavor to your coffee. The same oils that make drinking coffee a pleasurable experience leave residues inside the coffeemaker as the coffee brews. To keep your drip coffeemaker running properly and to avoid stale and bitter-tasting coffee, clean the coffee bean oil from the inside of your machine every few weeks. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Remove the coffee carafe from your coffeemaker. Pour water into the carafe until it's two-thirds full. Fill the remaining 1/3 with white vinegar.
-
2
Pour the vinegar and water mixture into the coffeemaker's water reservoir. Return the carafe to its place in the coffeemaker.
-
-
3
Flip the coffeemaker's "On" switch to activate the brewing process. This will send your mixture through the machine and heat the vinegar. The vinegar-water mixture will pool inside the coffee filter holder, where coffee bean oils leave residue.
-
4
Remove the carafe from the maker after the vinegar-water mixture finishes brewing. Fill the pot with clean water and pour that water into the reservoir and replace the carafe.
-
5
Run fresh water through the machine's brewing cycle. It may take several cycles to completely remove the vinegar taste or smell.
