How to Disable a Wireless HP 6310

Unlike some printers, the HP (Hewlett-Packard) 6310 does not have built-in wireless printing. Wireless printing happens over a home network via printer sharing. In order to disable the 6310 wireless printing, simply disable printer sharing. If you want to completely disable the printer, uninstall it from your computer's available printers.

Instructions

  1. Disable Printer Sharing

    • 1

Open the Windows Start menu. Select "Control Panel."

    • 2

Select "Network and Sharing Center" > "Change Advanced Sharing Settings."

    • 3

Select your network profile (home, work) and select "Turn off file and printer sharing." Click "Save Changes." This disables the printer from being wirelessly accessible to other computers on the network. To completely disable the printer, follow the steps in the next section.

    Remove the Printer

    • 4

Open the Windows Start menu. Select "Control Panel."

    • 5
