How to Register a GE Phone to the Base

Register your cordless phone to the base before use.

GE is a cordless phone manufacturer that manufactures a variety of land-line phones. When you install a multiline GE cordless phone system in your home or office, you will have to register the bases before you can use the devices. Registering your GE phone to the base is easy to accomplish in a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu/OK" or the "Program" key on your GE phone to access the main menu.

2. Scroll to "Handset Setup" then press the "Menu/OK" button or the "Program" key.

3. Scroll to "Registration" or "Handset Registration" then press the "Menu/OK" or "Program key.

4. Select the option "Yes" to confirm your decision to register the phone then press the "Program" key.

5. Press and hold the "Page" button on the phone's base for five seconds.

6. Look at the screen on your GE cordless phone to know whether you need to press the "Program" key again. If so, you will be instructed to do so.

7. Wait until your cordless phone reads "Registered" then place it in its base.
