Easy Way to Rip a DVD

Easy Way to Rip a DVD thumbnail
Rip DVDs to play them directly from your computer.

Ripping a DVD means transferring its movie to your computer. Besides simply copying its files to your hard drive, ripping converts the files, compresses them and encodes them into a format that desktop media players can open. Copyright law forbids you from distributing these ripped files, but you can keep them to view on your own. Several freeware and shareware programs easily rip DVDs.
