How do I Convert BIN Images to NES Files?

The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) is considered one of the godfather products of the video game industry. It was one of the first home video game consoles to take hold in the mainstream world. Nowadays, you would be hard-pressed to find any NES consoles around, which makes finding and purchasing games very difficult. If you so happen to have NES game backup files in the BIN format, simply extract the NES game file from within the BIN file and play it on an NES emulator.

Things You'll Need

  • Winrar
  • 7Zip
  • RarZilla
  • Download and install one of the archive managers in Resources. All of them work the same way.

  • Navigate to where your NES BIN file is and right-click it. Click the archive manager's name that you installed and click "Extract Here."

  • Wait as the NES game file(s) are extracted from the BIN image file. Once they are finished extracting, you can load it up using the NES emulator of your choice.
