How to Mix Casein Protein

Casein protein is a slow-digesting dairy protein and an excellent source of amino acids. According to Musclelegion.com, it "makes up nearly 80 percent of all the protein found in cow's milk." Since it absorbs slowly, it is a protein mostly consumed just before going to bed. Post-digestion, casein forms a clot which slows the gastric emptying process, thus taking longer to digest in the stomach. It provides a feeling of satiety, helping you feel fuller and more satisfied.
