How to Find a Dodge Magnum 2007 Battery

Save

You may may have difficulty locating the battery in your 2007 Dodge Magnum, because it's not in the usual spot until the hood. The Magnum's battery is mounted in a different location. If you have to buy a new battery for your Magnum, simply gather the necessary vehicle information and obtain it through either a Dodge dealer or an auto parts store.

Finding the Battery

  • Step to the 2007 Dodge Magnum's rear. Open the cargo door. Clear out the cargo floor and move the items to another location.

  • Grasp the strap located at the rear of the cargo floor. This is attached to the cargo floor cover.

  • Lift the strap to expose the storage compartment. You'll see the spare tire in the center. Directly to the right of the spare tire, you'll see the Dodge Magnum's battery.

Finding a Replacement Battery

  • Open your Dodge Magnum's hood. Locate the white sticker on the crossbar in front of the radiator.

  • Inspect the sticker to determine which engine your 2007 Dodge Magnum has. It will either read "2.7" (2.7L V6), "3.5" (3.5L V6) or "5.7" (5.7L V8). The engines may use different batteries, so it's important to determine the correct engine.

  • Contact your nearest Dodge dealer and ask for the parts department. Tell the service adviser you would like to order a battery for a 2007 Dodge Magnum. Tell the adviser which engine you have. The battery may be in stock, or the adviser may have to order it for you.

  • Contact any automotive parts store, if you would rather not order from the Dodge dealer or if the dealer doesn't have the battery in stock. Provide the representative with the same information you gave to the dealer to determine if the store has a battery in stock.
