How to Create Microsoft Reader eBooks
An eBook is a digital file that contains the text and images of a book and can be read on a computer screen. Microsoft Reader is free software that displays compatible Microsoft Reader eBooks. You can create Microsoft Reader eBooks with the free Read in Microsoft Reader add-in for Microsoft Word version 2002 and 2003 files. Anyone who has the Microsoft Reader software will be able to open and read eBooks created with this add-in.

Close the Microsoft Word software.

Go to the Read in Microsoft Reader page online. (See References)

Click the "WordRMR.exe" link to download the add-in.

Double-click the file once it has completed downloading to install the add-in. Restart your computer if you are prompted.

Launch Microsoft Word and open the file you want to convert into an eBook.

Click the Microsoft Reader icon on your Microsoft Word toolbar to launch the conversion.

Follow the on-screen instructions to convert your Word file into a Microsoft reader eBook file.
