How to Replace the Toner Bottle in a Ricoh 2232C
The Ricoh Aficio 2232C is a color multifunction office machine. Like many office machines, the Ricoh 2232C deposits waste toner from the machine's four toner cartridges into a container for removal and disposal. This waste toner bottle rests in a cavity inside the machine behind a reusable waste oil bottle. Ricoh has designed the Aficio 2232C so you can quickly access the bottle within its cavity via a panel at the front of the machine.

Turn off and unplug your Ricoh Aficio 2232C.

Grasp the top left and right sides of the front cover. Pull on the sides gently to open the cover and then flip it down to reveal the machine interior.

Flip the reusable waste oil bottle slowly and carefully away from the machine and to the left side so you can access the waste toner bottle.

Pull the waste toner bottle carefully straight out of the machine. Remove the cap lid and place it in the opening on the bottle.

Remove the new waste toner bottle from its packaging. Place the old waste toner bottle in the packaging that the new one came in. Set the old waste bottle aside for disposal.

Slide the new waste toner bottle into the machine. Return the waste oil bottle to its original position.

Flip up the front cover and push in on it until it locks in place. Plug in and turn on your machine.

Tips & Warnings
Never shake or tilt the waste toner bottle during removal or handling as toner can leak out.
Always wash your hands immediately after replacing the waste toner bottle.
