How to Become a Nigerian Traditional Healer
Nigerian natural healers were once considered to be witch doctors. Now, they incorporate native practices with natural health education to treat many people in Nigeria. In some parts of the country, the only local available health care is from Nigerian natural healers. The healers treat everything from common viruses, to birthing to bone settings. They use methods from blood letting to simple, surgical procedures.

Chose the right school of training in Nigeria. Nigeria is divided into states and each state oversees natural medicine practice. Most patients now prefer a formally trained natural healer. One such school in Nigeria is the Nigerian College of Natural Medicine.

Receive training the traditional way. Contact the Nigerian Minister of Health, Prof. C.O. Onyebuchi, or the Minister of State, Alhaji Suleiman Bello , about each state's practices and policies concerning native Nigerian traditional healers. According to an American Nigerian, Grace Nyseo, whose husband is a medical doctor in Gainesville Florida, this route is very difficult. Perform an internship or practicum. Wherever you receive your training, perform an internship or practicum. During the practicum, you can practice natural healing techniques, while being observed by a professional.
