How to Reconnect the Comcast Signal
Comcast's TV signal is always working as long as the service is working, but its Internet and phone services are brought to your house and set up through a special modem unit. Sometimes, you can lose your Comcast connection, but there are often several things you can do that will restore your connection without having to contact Comcast.

Shut down your computer. Restart the computer and open a Web page to see whether restarting the computer solved the problem.

Reset the cable modem. The modem has a small pinhole button that can be pushed in to reset the mode. This will take a few minutes. It often fixes connection problems.

Shut down your router if you are using one. Reset the router by pushing in the small button on the back of the router with the tip of a pencil. You might want to connect directly to the computer without the router to see whether the router has any problems.
