How to Enroll for the GMAT

Choose the best date for your schedule when you enroll for the GMAT.

The average GMAT score of 50 percent of the Harvard MBA 2009 class was between 700 and 740 according to Harvard Business School. Preparation is everything when taking the GMAT, some start preparing up to six months in advance. The GMAT measures basic math, verbal and analytical writing skills that you have developed in your lifetime. Taking the GMAT increases your chances of getting into a business program that suits you best.

Instructions

1. Register with MBA.com. Becoming a member of MBA.com, the official GMAT website, enables you to enroll for the GMAT.

2. Choose a testing center, once you have registered as a member of MBA.com. Consider what locations are accessible and close to you versus what testing centers have the best available time slots. Register for the GMAT at least a month in advance preferably, giving you enough time to make any necessary accommodations and confirmations.

3. Make the payment to reserve your slot. The fee to take the GMAT is $250. Payments accepted are major credit and debit cards if you enroll online. If you need to reschedule your test, do so at least seven calendar days in advance; rescheduling fee is $50.
