How to Make a Neon Beer Sign
Neon beer signs are a classic decoration used in bars, restaurants, homes and businesses. Some people collect rare neon signs, while others hang them for decoration. Neon beer signs are rather expensive, especially for the more intricate designs. With a little creativity and the proper items, you can make your own neon beer sign for a fraction of the price.

1
Determine your sign design. Use pencil and paper to sketch a blueprint of the design. Most neon beer signs feature a specific beer, brand, or type of brew (stout, pilsner, ale, etc.). You can write a word across your sign, use it as a border, or make a cool design.

2
Prepare supplies for sign. Peel labels off empty beer bottles that you want to use on your sign. These work as great ways to decorate. You can also use bottle caps or empty beer cases.

3
Lay out the piece of cardboard or wood you're using for your sign, and place the logos where you would like them to go. You may only want a little beer cap in the corner, or you may choose to make a collage out of labels and empty cases. Glue the items to the cardboard or wood with a hot glue gun. A lot of the beer labels from the bottle will be really thin, so make sure to use a small amount of glue and adhere them gently. Make sure to roll out any bubbles in the cases and labels. Beer caps that are bent won't stick that well. Let your sign dry for a few hours.

Lay out your neon wires in the design. You can buy flexible neon wires at most craft and lighting stores, as well as online. You'll have to choose the width, length, and color of your wires. Once your neon cables are in place, glue them down with your hot glue gun. Once you're done, allow your sign to dry thoroughly.

Hang your sign up, and plug in the neon cable.
