How to Install an Eagle 300 Fishfinder
Eagle 300 Fishfinder is a device that uses sonar technology to help you detect fish. If installed and used properly, the fishfinder can help you return home with an abundant catch after a day of fishing. The Eagle 300 Fishfinder features a diagonal screen and a depth capability up to 600 feet with 800 watts of power. Correct assembly will require careful planning and setup of both the transducer and sonar unit.

1
Mount your Eagle 300 unit and plan the route for the cables for the transducer and power. You can place the unit in any convenient spot such as from the overhead or at the top of the dash of your boat. Planning the location ahead of time ensures that you have enough cable for your desired set up.
-
2
Assemble the transducer by mounting it on the transom and marking the mounting holes with a pencil.
-
-
3
Align the transducer on the transom and drill the holes to attach the two. Tighten the bracket's mounting screws and seal with sealant. Remember to choose a location for the transducer where it will be in the water at all times at a spot with a smooth flow of current. Turbulence and bubbles are likely to cause interference with the sonar's reading.
-
4
Route the transducer cable to your Eagle 300 unit and connect the two. Avoid routing the transducer cable from other wiring on the boat to eliminate electrical noise from the engine wiring and use caution when routing the cables around wires.
-
5
Attach the cable to your boat's power buss or directly to the battery. Plug in and start fishing.
