How to Upload Videos From a Canon Vixia HF M31 to a Mac

The Canon Vixia HF M31 is a digital video camera that records directly onto an inserted SD flash card. This allows you to record each video as a separate file (instead of a continual tape), making uploading far easier because you no longer need a video editing program on hand. When using this camera, you can upload content directly to any computer system, including Macs.

Instructions

1. Plug the provided USB data cable into the USB port on the Canon Vixia HF M31 video camera.

2. Insert the other end of the cable into one of the USB ports on the Mac computer.

3. Power on the Canon Vixia HF M31 video camera and an icon appears on the Mac desktop.

4. Double-click the icon and a window loads, displaying all the current video files on the flash SD card.

5. Click-and-drag the video files form the open window onto the desktop (or any other location on the Mac computer). Repeat this process to upload any other video files from the Canon Vixia HF M31 to your Mac computer.
