The Svchost.exe runtime error on your Windows 7 computer is located within your System32 file on your computer. The System32 file contains all of the system files needed for your startup and boot processes. When the system files aren't working properly, you will be prompted with a Runtime error. You can fix this runtime error by using the Windows File Checker that came with your computer's operating system. This file checker will scan your system files and replace any broken or corrupted versions of the files.

      Click the "Start" menu and then click the "All Programs" button.

      Go to the "Accessories" button and then right-click the "Command Prompt" icon.

      Click "Run as administrator" from the menu and then enter your administrator password into the field if required.

      Type "sfc /scannow" into the command prompt that appears and then press the "Enter" button.

      Wait for the computer to scan your System32 folder and replace the corrupted files in the folder.
