How to Set Up the Linksys WCG200 With Comcast
Before connecting a Comcast Internet modem to a Linksys WCG200 router, make sure the modem is receiving a proper Internet signal and is plugged into the power outlet. Open your Web browser and try to access the Internet to make sure you are receiving a proper Internet signal. Then remove the Ethernet cable that is currently connecting the modem to the computer. This cable will be re-routed to the Linksys WCG200 router.

Insert an Ethernet cable into the "Out" port on the rear Comcast Internet modem. Insert the other end of this cable into the the Internet port on the rear of the Linksys WCG200 router.

Insert another Ethernet cable into one of the numbered ports on the rear of the Linksys WCG200 router. Insert the other end of this cable into the Ethernet port on the rear or side of the computer.

Insert the AC power cord into the "Power" port on the rear of the Linksys WCG200. Plug the AC cord into the power outlet.

Open the Web browser and enter "192.168.0.1" (without the quotations " ") into the address field at the top of the browser. Click "Enter."

Enter "admin" into the password field and leave the user name field blank when prompted. Hit "OK."

Click the "Setup" tab and dot "Obtain IP Address Automatically."

Click "Save Settings." Click "Status" and make sure the IP Address has a value, or set of numbers. You have now configured the Linksys WCG200 router with your Comcast modem.
