How to Design a Weight Room
If you want the convenience of working out anytime, adding a weight room to your home is ideal. While you can simply just place weights around any room, spending a few minutes to come up with a design will allow the space to be accessible and functional. Since each person has a different idea of how they want to work out, designing your own weight room will allow you to address your needs.

1
Determine which weight machines you will need based on your fitness goals. If you have a small space, you may be only able to fit one or two machines into the room. You will also need to think about free weights, and whether or not you want to include them in the weight room.

2
Design the space to be somewhere you look forward to going. Add a new color of paint, hang mirrors around the space to help it appear larger.

3
Utilize limited space by purchasing multi-use weight machines. This will allow you to get in a full-body workout with a single machine.
-
4
Set up multiple machines in order of the body parts it uses. For example, set up the upper body machines in one area, with lower body machines in another.
