How to Wash Egg Crate Foam
Egg crate foam is a type of material that's made as a mattress pad to go under bed sheets. The foam is shaped like the egg cartons you see in the grocery store. Like any type of bedding, egg crate foam needs to be cleaned every once in a while to remove odors and dirt. However, the foam can't be washed like traditional bedding. Things You'll Need
- Spray bottle
- 4 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Remove all bedding from your bed.

Combine warm water, baking soda and lemon juice in a large spray bottle. Place the top of the spray bottle in its place and secure.

Shake the solution in the bottle until the baking soda has been dissolved.

Spray the solution evenly over the egg crate foam.

Let the solution dry on the pad for at least an hour. The more solution you spray on the egg crate foam, the longer it will take it to dry. You can point a fan at the foam if you want to speed the drying.
