Check to see if you have all the required equipment for installation, such as your Qwest wireless modem and a computer with built-in wireless compatibility.

Connect the first end of the modem's Ethernet cable into the Qwest wireless modem and connect the other end to your computer's Ethernet port.

Open your Internet Browser to check your wireless connection.

Write down the Modem's SSID and WEP key. Your SSID and WEP key are located on your Qwest wireless modem. "Network Name (SSID)" is your SSID. "Key/passphrase" is your WEP key. You need your SSID and WEP key to connect to your wireless network.

Click on the Qwest wireless icon in the system tray at the lower right of your screen if you use Windows as your operating system. Mac users can click on the system tray at the top right of the screen.

Click on your wireless network and then click "Connect." Your SSID is the name that identifies of your wireless network.

Enter your WEP key and then click "OK" to complete the Qwest wireless installation process.
