Each user is assigned a unique IP address, but sometimes it is necessary to change the IP when you are being bombarded with spam. Changing your IP address is an easy process, and takes just a few minutes to complete.

      Click "Start" on the desktop and select "All Programs."

      Select "Accessories" and click "Command Prompt."

      Type "ipconfig /release" in the command window and press "Enter."

    • 4

      Type "ipconfig /renew" in the command window and press "Enter" to display the new IP address.

      Type "Exit" and press "Enter" to close the command window.
