Instructions

1
Wash the freezer bowl, lid and mixing arm of the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt Maker. This will remove any dust or debris.
-
2
Dry the bowl completely and place it inside a large freezer bag. The freezer bag acts as a shield, preventing the bowl from frosting over during the freezing process. Place the bowl in the freezer and allow it to freeze completely. To test if the bowl is frozen, shake it. If you hear liquid, then the bowl is not yet completely frozen. The freezing process can take anywhere from a few hours to an entire day, depending on where the bowl is placed in the freezer, how cold the freezer is and how many other items are in the freezer.

-
3
Measure all the ingredients for the frozen yogurt while the bowl is still in the freezer. Combine soft and liquid ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Keep nuts or hard candies set aside.
-
4
Remove the bowl from the freezer and plastic bag. Place the bowl inside the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt Maker basin and insert the mixing arm in the center. For the best results, use the bowl immediately after taking it out of the freezer. Cover the bowl with the lid and the ingredient pour spout.
-
5
Press the power button and add the soft and liquid ingredients, pouring them into the ingredient pour spout. After five minutes, add any hard fruit chunks. After ten minutes, add any nuts or hard candies. The frozen yogurt is finished when it has the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Put it in the freezer if you want a consistency that's more like regular ice cream.
