How to Obtain a Free Equifax Credit Report by Phone in Georgia
When Equifax reports information that causes you to be denied credit, insurance or employment, you have a right to request a free copy of your report. This right falls under the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). To receive a credit report directly through Equifax, you must be denied credit within the last 60 days. Once that 60-day limit expires, Equifax will charge you for the report. To save time, you don't have to mail a request for your Equifax report. You can make your request over the phone.
