Chicago Rotary Tool Kit Instructions
Rotary tools are invaluable for small jobs like buffing, cutting, grinding, drilling or cleaning small or delicate objects. Chicago Electric Power tools manufactures a series of rotary tool kits with a variety of different attachments for different jobs. Knowing how to properly use a Chicago rotary tool kit can help you get excellent results with smaller, detail-oriented work where a power tool is still required.

Select the attachment you wish to use. Depending on the size of tool kit, there will be several options for attachments. They generally fall into the categories of buffing, cutting, grinding, drilling and cleaning.

Insert the desired attachment into the neck of the Chicago rotary tool.

Twist the chuck by hand until the attachment is firmly in place.

Plug the Chicago rotary tool into a power outlet. For cordless models, make sure the rotary tool is fully charged according to manufacturer instructions before first use.

Flip on the power switch and press the metal activation button at the end of the plastic body of the tool to begin rotation.

Hold the Chicago rotary tool at the end of the plastic body, just behind the rotating chuck. Work in sections, stopping to examine your progress and changing attachments accordingly.

Adjust the speed as needed, if you are using a four-speed Chicago rotary tool kit.

Turn off the Chicago rotary tool and remove the attachment by unscrewing the chuck by hand until the attachment comes loose.

Unplug the Chicago rotary tool from the power outlet. If the tool is rechargeable, return it to the recharging caddy, making sure the caddy is plugged into a power outlet.
