How to Remove a Kwikset 5 Tumbler
A Kwikset 5 pin tumbler comes out of a deadbolt to allow for rekeying locks. The deadbolt can be keyed to work using the same key as the entry door lock. There are two rows of pins inside it with five pins in both. The bottom row inside the tumbler consists of various sizes of pins that determine which key pattern is able to turn inside the lock. Replacing the pins inside the tumblers of deadbolt locks is the way to dictate which keys they accept. Does this Spark an idea?
