How to Wire Klipsch F2 Speakers

Klipsch F2 speakers are a floor-standing tower speaker sold in pairs and designed to be used in home stereo and home theater applications. Like most speakers, Klipsch F2 speakers are connected to an amplifier or receiver with lengths of speaker wire. Hooking them up is a simple matter and should take only a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

      Position your speakers, one to the right and one to the left of the front of your listening position, pointing towards the listener.

      Cut two lengths of speaker wire with a set of wire cutters. Each wire should be long enough to reach from the back of the speaker to the rear of the amplifier or receiver.

      Pull the two leads on each end of the speaker wires apart for a distance of about 2 inches. Remove 1/2 inch of insulation from the end of each lead, leaving 1/2 inch of bare wire exposed.

      Loosen the terminals on the back of the right speaker by turning them to the left until a hole is visible in the speaker terminal's post. Slide the bare end of the positive speaker lead into the red terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire. Slide the bare end of the negative speaker lead into the black terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire.

      Loosen the terminals on the back of the left speaker by turning them to the left until a hole is visible in the speaker terminal's post. Slide the bare end of the positive speaker lead into the red terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire. Slide the bare end of the negative speaker lead into the black terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire.

      Loosen the speaker terminals marked R+ and R- on the back of the amplifier by turning them to the left until a hole is visible in the speaker terminal's post. Slide the bare end of the positive speaker lead coming from the right speaker into the R+ terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire. Slide the bare end of the negative speaker lead into the R- terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire.

      Loosen the speaker terminals marked L+ and L- on the back of the amplifier by turning them to the left until a hole is visible in the speaker terminal's post. Slide the bare end of the positive speaker lead coming from the left speaker into the L+ terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire. Slide the bare end of the negative speaker lead into the L- terminal and tighten the terminal to clamp the wire.
