Instructions

    • 1

Mix 5 cups of any all-purpose automobile cleaner and 4 cups of warm water in a medium bucket. Soak a clean, dry sponge in the mixture.

    • 2

Clean the entire bumper with the sponge and cleaning solution.

    • 3

Detail the chrome by scrubbing it completely and firmly using a soft-bristled toothbrush. Pay extra attention to any especially stained areas, grooves or hard-to-reach areas.

    • 4

Rinse the bumper with clean water right after washing to reduce the chance of spotting or build-up.

    • 5

Dry the chrome using a lint-free cloth immediately after it has been rinsed. Be sure to dry it completely as soon as it has been rinsed to avoid water spots.

    • 6

Polish the chrome after it has dried. Apply a small dab of any chrome polishing compound to a clean, lint-free cloth. Polish in large, smooth circles. Add more polishing compound as needed.

    • 7

Spray a thin layer of any brand automotive spray wax onto the bumper. This adds shine and a degree of protection from any further buildup.

Tips & Warnings

  • Repeat this process monthly or bi-monthly to maintain the shine of the chrome.

  • Ensure all cleaning products are safe for use on chrome.
