How to Use WinDVD to Make a Slideshow for Photos
InterVideo WinDVD Creator is an easy-to-use video editing software program that allows users to capture video, import video files from a digital camcorder, create a video project with transition effects and title screens and burn the project to a blank CD or DVD. Users can also import digital images from their hard drives and create slideshows. After creating one, you can save it to your computer or burn the new file to disc.

Go to "Start" and click on "All Programs." Next, click on the InterVideo WinDVD Creator folder and open WinDVD Creator.

Click on the "Start New Project" icon, located at the top of the main menu. When the WinDVD project screen appears, click on the large "Edit" tab.

Click on the "Image Library" icon, and then click on the "Import" button. The "Import Media Files" window will appear. Locate the digital images you want to use and click "Open." You can select multiple images by pressing "CTRL" on your keyboard and selecting each file with your mouse. Your selected images will import into the project screen.

Drag each image to the "Storyboard" section at the bottom of the screen. You can rearrange the order of the images; simply click and drag an image to your desired location in "Storyboard."

Click on "Transition Effects" to add effects to the images in your slideshow. A list of different effects will appear. To preview a transition option, click on one of the effects. Select an effect and drag it to "Storyboard."

Click on "Audio Library," if you would like to add music to your slideshow. Next, click on "Import," select an audio file on your computer and click "Open." Drag the song to "Storyboard."

Click on "Title Effects" to add a title screen. Select one of the available title effects and drag it to "Storyboard." Type your personal message in the available text box. To change the color of the text, click on the "A" button. You can also change the font by clicking "F" and selecting an available font.

Click on the "Project" toolbar tab and save your slideshow. If you would like to burn the slide show to disc, insert a blank DVD or CD into your disc drive, click on the "Make Movie" tab and check the box next to "Burn to Disc." Click "Next" to begin burning your new slideshow to disc.
