How to Get a Job Without a College Degree
From an early age, you are told it is necessary to get a good education in order to secure a job. In 2007, MSNBC noted that only about 28 percent of working Americans actually have a four-year degree. Not everyone has the desire or the financial means to attend college, but that doesn't mean you can't get a job. There are numerous jobs and careers you can enter into without a college education.

1
Create a resume that focuses on your skills, rather than your education. MSNBC.com contributor Eve Tahmincioglu recommends adding a section titled "Skill Sets" that displays your experience and training.
-
2
Create a list of jobs you are interested in and research the general requirements for each job.
-
-
3
Search for jobs in your list of interests that offer on-the-job training. Many employers may prefer training potential employees to do things their way, rather than relying on a basic understanding provided by a higher learning institute. Examples of jobs that may offer on-the-job training include commercial truck driving, retail management positions, pharmacy technicians and dental assistants.

4
Visit your local job center or browse through newspaper and online classifieds for jobs that meet your interest. The local job center may be able to help you by working with you on your resume and providing you with contact information or even setting up an interview for you. If you do not have a job center in your locality, check with the unemployment office, as they sometimes have work listings from local companies or factories.
-
5
Attend job fairs and seminars in your area. Job fairs allow employers to connect with potential employees who are interested in learning more about the company and the skills required to perform the job.
