It is possible to record content directly form your DVR onto a VCR.

The Midco DVR is a digital video recorder that connects directly to a cable or satellite source, giving you the ability to save your favorite programming whenever you choose. However, it is not possible to take the recording to another television, unless you first send the DVR content to a movable recording medium, such as a VHS tape. With a VCR connected to your DVR, it is possible to record contents from your DVR, then take the VHS tape with you on the go.

  • RCA audio video cables
  • VHS tape

Instructions

    • 1

      Plug one end of the red, white and yellow RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the Midco DVR.

      Insert the other ends of the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video In" ports on the VCR player.

      Insert the VHS tape into the VCR, then press the "Recorded TV" button on the Midco DVR. This brings up a list of all the recorded content on the screen.

      Select the show you want to record onto the VHS tape, then press "Play" on the Midco DVR's remote control. Push "Play" and "Record" at the same time on the VCR, and the contents records onto the blank tape.
