How to Put a Starter Solenoid in a 1994 Ford Bronco
The starter solenoid on the 1994 Ford Bronco is attached to the side of the starter motor via tow bolts. To get to the solenoid, you must remove the starter motor from the transmission housing, as the solenoid is on the top of the starter housing. This makes it impossible to reach the bolts and remove the solenoid while the starter remains on the Bronco. Fortunately, removing the starter requires the removal of just two bolts.

1
Locate the starter motor under the engine on the driver's side of the Bronco. It attaches to the transmission housing. It is eight inches long and cylindrical in shape. You can see the back of the starter solenoid on top of the starter motor.

2
Remove the two bolts that secure both wires to the back of the starter solenoid, using a socket and ratchet. This disconnects the starter solenoid from the ignition. Take note of where each wire bolts.
